Where Can I Sell My Hockey Cards? [Answered!]

Sharing is Caring

It’s that time of year again. The snow is falling, the air is crisp, and your favorite hockey team is playing somewhere near you. In no particular order, here are five places you can sell your hockey cards. Most of these have a much higher turnover than expected so there is a good chance of making a profit but it won’t be easy. Consider this; the average Canadian buys 10-20 cards a day which would be 300-600 cards a week. That’s around 16-32 packs a month. If you’re looking to make some money off of your collection, here are five spots you can sell them at.

1) Ebay

eBay is the world’s largest online marketplace. If you’ve been toying with the idea of selling something online, eBay is the perfect place to start. They handle all the transactions for you so all you need to do is list what you have for sale and wait for the bids to come in. In order to be successful on eBay, you need to be sure that what you’re selling is valuable and that people are interested in buying your goods. For hockey cards, that means you need to be certain that people know what you’re talking about and that the cards are worth what you’re asking. For the best results, try to find a group or community of buyers who are interested in what you have to sell. This will make sure that your goods get sold quickly and at the right price. If you’re looking for a quick and easy way to make some extra money, consider selling your hockey cards on eBay.

2) Etsy

If eBay is the big kid on the playground when it comes to online markets, Etsy is the little kid who sits and watches while everyone else plays. Etsy is the place that individuals, small businesses, and even some charities get their goods and services from. If you’re looking for a venue to sell your hockey cards, consider Etsy. They’re the perfect alternative as they don’t have the minimum requirement of a salesperson to make a transaction. All you need is a PayPal account to get started. The great thing about Etsy is they’re always looking for new and interesting goods to sell so make sure you check them out and see what’s available. Like eBay, Etsy is a great place to group together with other card sellers and see how much you can push your goods in a short amount of time. The best part is you’re not tied to one product; you can literally take up whatever you want to sell and will never have to worry about running out of room due to too many products.

3) RedBubble

If you’re a creative person who loves designing and making memes, why not try selling your art on the web. You can make money online selling your artwork and designs or you can even make a bit of extra cash by selling stickers, posters, or even pillows featuring your favorite team’s logo. Designing and making memes is a great way to decompress and meet new people. If you’ve got a solid creative portfolio and a lot of motivation, you can make a lot of money online with the right platform. RedBubble is a relatively new site that connects designers with people who want to purchase artwork. They take a cut of the sales but that’s a relatively small fee compared to the income you can make from selling your design at this point.

4) Banggood

Another great place for people looking to buy and sell unique items is the Banggood shop. Much like eBay and Etsy, you’ll need to have a PayPal account to make a transaction but in addition to that, you’ll also need to be mindful of the shipping policy. Most items can be shipped to your desired address but if you want to make sure your item arrives safely, you’ll need to contact Banggood and have them change the shipping address accordingly. Otherwise, the item will be delivered to your local post office and may not end up in your hands for a while. Not every item will be available for shipping due to high demand but that’s a good problem to have. If you’re looking for a one-stop-shop for buying and selling unique items, consider checking out Banggood.

5) CD Universe (formerly CD Baby)

Last and certainly not least, we have CD Universe. Much like RedBubble, CD Universe is a place where you can sell your exclusive designs and artwork for music lovers. Because music is so important to our everyday lives, it’s only natural that people want to express their love for it via fashion. This site connects designers with musicians, creating a symbiotic relationship where both sides can benefit. As a musician, you can use your music to engage with your audience and promote your album or new single. In exchange, you get to design a t-shirt, hoodie, or hat for your favorite band or artist. This is a great place to connect with other designers who are also looking to make money off their music.]

Hopefully, these five spots will give you some ideas of where you can sell your hockey cards. Remember, there is always one place to turn when you’re looking for a place to sell your goods; it’s not always the place you would want to but it’s always somewhere. It’s good to make money but if you’re doing it improperly, you’re just stealing from yourself. Try to find a reputable place to sell your cards and don’t be afraid to ask for help if you’re not sure where to begin. Remember, the more you know, the better you’ll be able to manage your business and make the right decisions for yourself. Good luck!
